The card held, then taken when you confirm

A booking request authorises the guest's card; confirming it captures the payment, and a decline releases the hold. With instant booking, the payment is taken at once. Refunds follow the cancellation policy you chose.

02 · Folios

A folio for every stay, and for the group

Guest, company and group folios hold room nights, taxes, fees, extras, damages, discounts, deposits, payments and refunds. Move charges between folios of a reservation, print or download a folio, and close it when the stay is settled.

• A correction is a reversal, never an edit
• Add a charge, take a payment, adjust or discount from the folio

03 · At the desk

Payments taken at the property, recorded

Record a payment taken by your own card terminal, in cash or by check, or a card hold with its capture or release, so the folio and the balance are always right. Refund a desk payment from the same place.

• Settle at check-out, or leave a balance owed with a note

04 · Fees

Every fee on its own line

No commission on bookings you bring, a commission only on Holuway marketplace bookings, and every fee shown as its own line in your statement.
